ABOUT:
Beautiful rose cut garnet ring in 10k rosy gold with red bezel set garnet into the band with a slightly crimped, roman style bezel.  Such a lovely piece from the Victorian / Jugendstil / Art Nouveau period.  Not a super chunky band, but it is wider all the way around than your standard ring.
This is an antique piece that I acquired in Europe.  It is hallmarked but I could not identify them.  It was also engraved at one time but those have worn to illegible. It tested at 10k gold for me.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 10 1/4. The garnet is about 4mm in diameter. Weighs 1.5 grams
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
This estate piece was used and enjoyed by its previous owner.  No cracks to the stone.  Some scuffs on some of the facet edges of the garnet visible with magnification, giving it a slightly matte finish on those facet edges.
Some surface wear and scratches to the gold from wear over the years.  There is a slight impression on one side of the band where it curves in just slightly so please note that, I had a hard time capturing it in the photos, it isn't a sharp dent or anything, just appears like a tiny ripple.  The garnet moves ever so slightly and occasionally makes a "click" sound if you tap it just right but it is very secure in the crimped bezel.  Beautiful patina to the gold. But as with all my estate pieces - please note that this is not a mint condition item.
