    Lot (4) Vintage WALK-OVER Brand Advertising Metal SHOE HORNS Victorian and Later Eras

    HISTORY and AGE ESTIMATES:
    Walk-Over is a company still active today.  In their own words:
    "A fine shoemaking tradition since 1758, Walk-Over has the unique distinction of being the oldest footwear brand in the United States."
    From oldest to newest, using the first picture as reference:
    1. Horizontal one on the bottom:
    4 1/4" long, steel + possibly a zinc coating, hooks on back behind the hanger hole (for pulling shoe laces?),
    late 1800's, early 1900's
    2. Far left:
    3 3/4" long, stamped:  "SOMMER'S 12-16-13" at top front underneath hanging hole, dated
    1913
    3. Middle:
    3 3/8" long, stamped:  "MADE IN U.S.A." on front below the Walk-Over insignia; stamped on back, partially rubbed off: "'ORIENT...TRADEMARK", I do not know the exact age of this one
    4. Far right:
    3 5/8" long, no marks seen other than the more modern Walk-Over insignia, I do not know the exact age.
    CONDITION:
